Military training areas are nothing special, usually. Nor is training in ordinary cities and so on. But this one intermeshes with a quite large area where lots of people live and are thus part of the training background and is sort of permanent.

Fake nation tests tomorrow's Special Forces
Fake nation tests tomorrow's Special Forces - USATODAY.com: "Pineland is a contradiction that exists for the best of causes. The first weather forecast was made 150 years ago today
The first weather forecast was made 150 years ago today: "People have been talking about the weather since time immemorial, but it wasn't until August 1, 1861 that someone finally decided to put his daily predictions into writing. And here's the really crazy thing: the first report was actually correct."
The art of forecasting is quite a bit older than I thought.
